Hi,

I've got my samba 2.2.2 server running and working, but while trying to
get winbind working, I'm running into a problem. Specifically on step
9.5.3.4 from the winbind configuration documentation:

[root at NetServer samba]# smbpasswd -j BIO2RES -r DOMAIN-CONTROL -U Administrator
Password:
Error connecting to DOMAIN-CONTROL
Unable to join domain BIO2RES.
[root at NetServer samba]# echo $?
1
[root at NetServer samba]# ping DOMAIN-CONTROL
PING DOMAIN-CONTROL (209.64.53.4) from 209.64.53.11 : 56(84) bytes of data.
64 bytes from DOMAIN-CONTROL (209.64.53.4): icmp_seq=0 ttl=128 time=112 usec

Can anyone help me to figure this out. Here's some debug output:

[root at NetServer samba]# smbpasswd -j BIO2RES -r DOMAIN-CONTROL -U Administrator -D4
added interface ip=209.64.53.11 bcast=209.64.53.255 nmask=255.255.255.0
Password:
resolve_lmhosts: Attempting lmhosts lookup for name DOMAIN-CONTROL<0x20>
getlmhostsent: lmhost entry: 127.0.0.1 localhost
resolve_hosts: Attempting host lookup for name DOMAIN-CONTROL<0x20>
Connecting to 209.64.53.4 at port 139
failed session setup
Error connecting to DOMAIN-CONTROL
Unable to join domain BIO2RES.

Thanks in advance,

James
