Hi Samba Support,

We are currently having problems with plain text passwords from Unix to NT
for a particular application. We have tested using encrypted passwords, and
this has resolved that problem. However, this has created another problem
in that anyone not in the encrypted password file can no longer connect to
the samba shares. My question is this:

Is there a module/utility that will automatically sync the users unix
password with the samba encrypted one, and would this automatically
populate the /usr/local/samba/private/smbpasswd file with all the users ?

Thanks for your help in advance,

Kind regards,

Mark
IUT.
