smbclient error....

Ive downloaded samba-2.2.0 and installed from source on my slackware7.1 box. 
I configured samba to run as a logon server and it works. However, when 
i tried "smbclient -L myhostname" , as root, it gives me an error message 
saying: 


 SSL: Error error setting CA cert location: error: 00000000: lib(0):
 func(0):reason(0)
 trying deafault location
 
 added interface ip=192.168.0.1 bcast=192.168.0.255 nmask=255.255.255.0
 error connecting to 192.168.0.1:139 (Connection refused)
 Connection to ns.karakus.net failed


i have not setup dns and ssl on my box. Can anyone please tell me what the problem is
and how to solve it. Thanx in advance!!!
