If you install samba and run swat you will find a book called "using samba" 
by Robert Eckstein, David Collier-Brown and Peter Kelly. As long as you may 
not be able to use swat you should find it anywhere in your samba 
installation directory (don't remember where exactly). There are not many 
pictures but some and it should be useful for beginners.
