Unable to use SWAT ...

Two things

1) Make sure the right entries are in /etc/services and /etc/inetd.conf (See
samba docs).

2) cd /usr/share/samba
   ln -s /usr/share/swat swat (link /usr/share/samba/swat to
/usr/share/swat)

That fixed it for me.

Subject: Unable to use SWAT ...

I recently installed the latest 2.2.0 rpms for Redhat 6.2 on my linux
box. However, after installation, I attempted to connect to:

http:10.0.0.50:901/

and I receive an error message stating that the website is not
available. If I telnet to the port, I an connected, but I am not certain
how to confirm or deny that I should be able to recieve pages (I don't even
see a username/password prompt).

I have confirmed the existance of 'swat' in /etc/services with a value of
901, and in /etc/inetd.conf pointing to /usr/sbin/swat.

How do I debug this problem? According to the swat man page, there are
only two options to pass to swat, and neither turns on debugging!

Tony
