character set with SMBMOUNTED dirs

May I ask here (no reply from newsgroups):

Setting the "character set" and "client code page" options in smb.conf works
fine if I access files on a SAMBA-server (from NT).

But the other way around? Having files on a NT machine and accessing them
with smbmount shows wrong filenames (if they have characters like öäü).


Any special option in smb.conf? Or with the mountung commands?
Or on the NT machine?
