Error linking 2.2.0alpha2 smbd on Solaris 8

Hi all,

I just downloaded the most recent 2.2.0alpha2 from samba.org
and am trying to compile it on a Sun Ultra 5 running Solaris 8.
I'm getting the following error when smbd is being linked:

Compiling smbd/oplock_irix.c
Compiling smbd/oplock_linux.c
Compiling smbd/notify.c
Compiling smbd/notify_hash.c
Compiling smbd/notify_kernel.c
Linking bin/smbd
smbd/password.o: In function `connect_to_domain_password_server':
smbd/password.o(.text+0x29a8): undefined reference to `inet_aton'
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
make: *** [bin/smbd] Error 1


Anyone have any ideas what might be wrong? Is alpha2 not
ready for use on Solaris 8?
