Hello,

my name is Max and iam from Germany. I have a problem with Samba on a SUN.
smbd is not starting, but nmbd does start... i do not have any idea on what
it
could depend on. On my Linux (SUSE 7.0) Samba (2.0.7) runs great. The Sun
has operation system only installed + samba. In /etc/rc2.d there is an
starting
script (S99samba) and it is working fine with nmbd (ps -ef |grep nmbd) but
smbd
is not starting when booting the OS. Starting smbd manual (smbd -D) was also
not sucsessfull. Do you have any idea what the problem could be?

regards Max
