Samba and win2000 syncronize problems

Hi Don

Thanks for that info. Problem has been fixed using your suggestions.

SOLUTION:

Changed the GID and the UID to positive numbers.
Re-created the NIS maps
Stopped and re-started the samba processes and presto all OK.
Also added an entry for "guest account" as suggested.

Why I had negative GID and UID I do not know.
