home direcotry and windows 2000

I don't know.  Why?

Are you running Samba 2.0.7?  Earlier versions of Samba have problems with
Windows 2000.

Have you configured the home directories properly?  Can users on WinNT,
Win9X computers see their home directories?   Can you see the home
directories using smbclient on the Samba server?

If that isn't it, then you will need to provide more information.
