SWAT does not answer on port 901

Also, if SuSE uses pam, you need to make sure that you have the file
/etc/pam.d/samba.  It needs to have these two lines:

auth	required	/lib/security/pam_stack.so service=system-auth
account	required	/lib/security/pam_stack.so service=system-auth
