Keith,
It appears that you are using the same name for your workgroup as you are
for your samba server name. I'm not sure of the 'legality' of this, but do
recall that it is typically not recommended.
Is this the case?

Subject: nmb error 6
When I start nmb, I see the following messages in the log.nmb file:
2001/02/05 14:59:45, 1¨ nmbd/nmbd.c:main(757)
Netbios nameserver version 2.0.7 started.

register_name_response: server at IP 180.30.127.67 rejected our name
registration of EVV1VLNXB4<00> with error code 6.

.
.
Unable to find the Domain Master Browser name EVV1VLNXB4<1b> for the
workgroup EVV1VLNXB4.
Unable to sync browse lists in this workgroup.
As a result, I can not get to the Samba server from Windows. Does anyone
know what this error 6 means?
Thanks,
Keith
