Hi,
I have compiled samba 2.2.2 with acl-support on Solaris 8 with gcc-2.95-3
without errors.
After installation I loined my NT- domain with the command:
smbpasswd -j triton -r 172.16.1.8 -Utriton/administrator%<password> created the
following output:
INFO: Debug class all level = 1 session setup ok
DOMAIN=[TRITON] OS=[Windows NT 4.0] Server=[NT LAN Manager 4.0]
Joined domain TRITON
the smb.conf looks as followd:
[global]
workgroup = TRITON
netbios name = CWD02
server string = SUN 880 running Samba 2.2.2 with ACL
interfaces = 172.16.1.202
security = domain
encrypt passwords = Yes
password server = *
log level = 1
name resolc order = wins host bcast
character set = ISO8859-1
wins server 172.16.1.8
create mask = 0755
[tmp]
path = /tmp
After starting samba I can see the server in the network neigbourhood.
When I try to acces the samba server, the server prompts for userid and
password.
In the log.smbd there are the following entries:
rpc_client/cli_netlogon.c: cli_net_auth2(160)
cli_net_auth2: Error NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED
rpc_client/cli_netlogon.c cli_nt_setup_creds(72)
cli_nt_setup_creds: auth2 challenge failed.
smbd/password.c: connect_to_domain_password_server(1372)
connect_to_domain_password_server: unable to setup the PDC credentials to
machine cwd-nt01.
Error was NT_STATUS_ACCESS_DENIED
the same message appeared for the machine nt-server1.
the machine cwd-nt01 ist the PDC, the machine nt-server1 ist the BDC of the
domain.
Does anyone can help me to solve the problem?
Kind regards.
Thomas
