I Have a question about install

im trying to install your Samba v3.0alpha8 on a fBSD system but it doesnt like to =)

my system is a fresh install of fBSD4.4-release

here is what i did (as root)-

#pwd
/usr/home/exseven/downloads/samba-3.0-alpha8/source
#./configure
<makes it though config fine>
#make
a bunch of syntax errors

im just wondering if theres something wrong w/ fBSD that you know of incompats or if its just that smb is still alpha and buggy
