Hello everybody,

I have installed samba and it works under Linux. I can test the installation with smbclient -L 10.128.128.30, I key in the password and the services are displayed.
Also can I do a smbclient //10.128.128.30/guest and it works.

When I go to my win2000 notebook, the icon of the samba-server appears on the browser screen. When I do a double click on the icon I get the message: It is not possible to do a logon from this station".

Does anyone has an idea on this ?

When I look into the directory, I don't find a smbpasswd file. How can I generate one ?

Best regards
Andreas
