Problem: I cannot see the linux machine (workgroup) from the windows98 client.

I have a network comprised of 3 machines.

Machine 1 win98, Named loaner, workgroup=marcaze.
Machine 2 win98, Named Gl4zg, workgroup=marcaze.
Machine 3 Linix-Mandrake 6.5,samba 2.0.5a,Named localhost.localdomain, workgroup=mygroup.

Machine1 has 2 network cards. One card used for cable internet connection (sharing). The other used to network it machne 1 with machine 2 and 3.

All three machines have access to the internet via machine 1(i can surf the net). Machine 1 and 2 show up in win98 in the marcaze workgroup.
However the linux workgroup (mygroup) does not show up on either of the windows machines.

I can ping all three nics, and when i enter the command "smbclient -L localhost" at the linux box i see

workgroup master
--------------- ------------
marcaze loaner
mygroup localhost

question:

1) why cant i see the linux machine (workgroup) from the windows98 client.
2) Will upgrading the samba version fix the problem?
3) I have a 4th machine running mandrake distibution 8.1. i have no problem seeing that machine at the windows client.
i do not use both Linux machines on the network at the same time. I only mention this to show that the problem is specific
to Red Hat 6.5 (server out of the box machine).

Help.
