Hello All,

My setup:

Desktop (P3) has Win2k

Laptop (P3) has Linux (RedHat 7.1) with samba-2.2.2

I can bring up the windows directory on the linux box.

The linux "icon" shows up on the windows box "Computers Near Me"

However, I can't open it to view the directory and files.

smb.conf file is as follows:# Global parameters
[global]
workgroup = MAKEMEWORK
netbios name = laptop
encrypt passwords = Yes

[homes]
read only = no
browseable = no

[linux]
path = /home/Lamar
public = yes
write list = Lamar

The log.smb file is as follows:

[2001/12/10 09:13:50, 1] smbd/files.c:file_init(215)
   file_init: Information only: requested 10000 open files, 1014 are
available.

I've tried to map the network drive, not accessible

Does any have any idea why I can't access Linux on the Windows pc?

Thank you for your help.

Lamar
