Well, this calls for serious work.
Add:
print command = echo %s > /tmp/junk
to your lexmark share.
Restart samba.
Then try printing. Your print job should be in /tmp/junk.
(If this works, try cat'ing /tmp/junk to your /dev/lp0 or /dev/lp1 or
whatever, as root.)
This will remove any issues regarding your linux printer queue and your printer.
It will just test samba and your pc.
You can also look through your log file for samba for error messages.
Is nobody a user on your system?
I would definitely leave two way communication disabled on the windows side.
