No domain server found!, please Help

I'm having a weird problem, whenever I log to the samba server using my 
windows boxes I keep getting the message that no domain server was 
found, some network resources unavailable... any solution? I really need 
your help please.

Also I have a problem here because some windows files have accented 
characters (because the names are in spanish), those files become 
unreadable because they dont seem to be properly mapped to the actual 
name in the hard disk, any suggestions?
