Authentication question

As long as you are not using encrypted passwords: No problem at all:
POP, IMAP and samba are all autenticating to the same ordenary unix
files, NIS, NIS+ what ever.

With encrypred passwords things get a litle bit more tricky, but once
set up probably: no problem at all. Just get the first encrypted
password (migartion problem) and keep them in sync (setup problem,
which is solvable).
