Still having same errors.

I still get the error of   "Failed to open byte range locking database
ERROR: Failed to initialise locking database  Can't initialise locking
module - exiting" with my 6.1 systems upgrades from the 2.0.5a and 2.0.7.
Would you suggest that I reinstall 6.2 without samba, or just 7.1 and then
use source tarball or RPM without any previous samba installed?
