Is it me or a bug or what?

Please help me you must have figured out something I did not. I am trying to
setup a Primary Domain Controller and cannot get computers on the domain.
What am I doing wrong and did you run into this? Whenever I try to add a
machine to the domain (I am using root account as mentioned in the samba
documents) it says you are using a computer account use a local or global
account. Any ideas? I have spent DAYS on this. I am running 2.2 samba on
Mandrake 8 and I configure it from SWAT. Please help a newbie to this samba
PDC thing.
