Hi,
I hope somebody could help me.
I'm using a Slackware 7.0 strongly cusomized over a Dual-Processor
Hardware,
Inside my Linux box run without problems "samba 2.0.7",
but after upgrade to "samba 2.2.0" , I have a problem.
When I try to run "smbd -D" I receive (in "log.smbd") this message :
------------------------------------------------------
[2001/04/24 19:04:43, 0] lib/pidfile.c:pidfile_create(101)
ERROR: smbd : fcntl lock of file /usr/local/samba/var/locks/smbd.pid
failed. Error was Invalid argument
------------------------------------------------------
and if I try to launch "nmbd -D" I receive the following:
------------------------------------------------------
[2001/04/24 19:04:43, 0] lib/pidfile.c:pidfile_create(101)
ERROR: nmbd : fcntl lock of file /usr/local/samba/var/locks/nmbd.pid
failed. Error was Invalid argument
------------------------------------------------------
Naturally I'm checked the right permission on /usr/local/samba/var/lock,
infact "nmbd.pid" file and "smbd.pid" file exists both in
/usr/local/samba/var/lock/ but with size "0"
So I've tried to compile "samba-2.2.0" with "--with-spinlocks" option
but I've the same problem explaned before.
Can somebody help me ?
Regards to all :)
PS: Excuse me for bad English
Andrea
