Unable to find Master Browser

Thanks for the info. I am now trying a few different options in an attempt
to isolate the one that triggers this problem. So far I haven't had any
luck. Since I don't have a Windows PDC on the network and the Samba machine
is the only machine that runs 24x7 I wanted it to be the master browser.

As I said in my original post, this message has only started appearing since
I upgraded to 2.2.0 release: I never got it with previous versions,
including 2.2.0a2 and 2.2.0a3, and I did not changed the Samba configuration
across those upgrades. This would seem to point to a change in Samba for the
final release of 2.2.0.

Thanks again for the suggestions,
H.

You can stop this behaviour by setting:

won´t try to look for the Domain Master Browser.

domain -unless you have a NT Server PDC-. In this case, you can set:
