Question Regarding Samba Installtion

Hello,
	Recently, I installed RedHat7.1 (Wolverine BETA).  When trying to mount a 
Samba filesystem, or a share on another Linux box.  The mounting directory 
which I am trying to mount it to, disappears.  I have looked in newsgroups, 
tried IRC, and was unable to come up with a solution.  I can browse(via 
smbclient) the directories just fine.  I just cannot mount them.  I have 
tried this out of the X server, and also in it.  
Release : Red Hat 7.1
Kernel : 2.4.1
