I have installed samba 2.0 on solaris 5.6 .
We use mainly for backing up files on unix to users workstation so that
precious disk spaces are saved at unix boxes.
Does Samba have anything to retain the file permissions when the files move
across from unix to nt. I am aware that it is a move operation and file
permissions are inherited of the target.
I would appreciate any help in this matter.
