logon errors, write_socket_data: write failure. Error = Brokenpipe

Interestingly we have had a series of broken pipes when responding to
Windows2000Server transactions, specifically around username handling, which
when it fails (broken pipe) the guest username is replaced and the the task
continues. (%u) is lost. WindozeME works correctly at this stage...
