linux+windows+solaris

hi,

    i have a lan with some windows computers. they get to internet throw
a firewall. so they share a public ip for their connections. i have also
a solaris with a public ip and a linux with a different public ip. so
what i want to do is to share a directory in the linux server to my lan
and to the solaris. should samba be a good alternative to do that? i do
not know to do that so i will accept all the suggestions you post.
