file corruption bug?

We are seeing occasional file corruptions on files that haven't changed in
ages. The file corruption has been at some random offset within files and
contains text that looks like it should be in the samba log. Here's the
contents of a Windows .bat file after the corruption has taken place. The
first three lines look intact but then there is the corruption:

Any ideas? BTW we're running 2.0.7 on Debian/linux 2.2 system.
