Samba quit

After running fine for a few months, my Samba installation just stopped working. (I'm sure I did something, but it wasn't to Samba)

By going back to the test smb.conf file I can get the machine to appear in Network Neighborhood, but when I click on it, it times out.

ps -ax sees the processes, and kill works, but 'samba restart' says the shutdown fails.

testparm is happy.

The only clue I have is that log.nmb includes the message "reload_services -- services not loaded"

TIA for any help.

Frank
