samba with LFS on redhat

Has anyone done this?

Compiled Samba *with* LFS support on a RedHat 6.2 or 7.0 
system? RH has glibc2.1, but is it LFS out of the box?
I'm trying to figure this out, but am asking here if anyone has done 
this.
When I configured 2.0.7 on my RH6.2 i get:
"disabling large file support for glibc2.1 on Linux"
So, what do I need to do to get LFS "on"? Kernel upgrade? glibc 
upgrade?
I'm sure someone is using smb with LFS on redhat, no?
