Something funny with :\\<servername>\backup

Ok I understand what's going on.

Samba cannot find a share called backup so samba is going for a 
username search.
Samba finds a user 'backup' in the file /etc/passwd, locates the 
users home directory (in this case /var/backups) and then shows 
the contents of this directory. 
Not so nice but....

Still, what do you think in this sort of cases: Right or wrong or thid I 
misses a point somewhere. Like a option 'don't map users with uid 
below 100 or something like that.
