Thanks! A VERY useful distinction indeed - this is extremely
helpful to know. So 'EnablePlainTextPassword' could more
'properly' be called:

'EnableDowngradeToPlainTextPasswordIfNeeded'  ;)

    ...does not disable the use of the challenge/response authentication
    used by encryption enabled servers. :-)  It's a common 
    misunderstanding.
