You are attempting to run nmbd out of inetd. I can't tell whether it's
succeeding or not. However, even if it is, this is *not* a recommended
configuration.
It is much better to run `nmbd -D' directly from a boot script instead.
(That also means commenting out the "netbios-ns udp" line in
/etc/inetd.conf.) Ditto for smbd, generally, though smbd should run OK
from inetd if you don't have a lot of traffic.
