time stamps and SAMBA

While copying files on Win9x or WinNT or DOS, destination file gets the 
timestamp of the source file
While copying a file on Win9x or WinNT to a drive shared by SAMBA (2.0.6 
running on Solaris 7.0), destination files takes the time stamp of the 
cuurent date/time; which is not
what i wish
How to force SAMBA to keep the time stamp of the original file?
I tried  dos filetimes = True, but nothing changes.
