CAn't mount smb share

[THB Samara branch]

I have samba 1.9.x under Slakware 3.0
So I can't mount smbshare
I've tryed   "smbmount //server/service -U smbuser -u root"  as root and many other variants,
But always get an error  " Mount error : no such device "
What's wrong ? I've no idea. 

P.S. on other box under RH 6.2 with  samba 2.0.3 (different syntax of smbmount) I had no problem.
