Hello.

We are having a difficult time installing Samba on SCO Unix OSR5. The
version was downloaded from the Samba Web site corresponding to the SCO
version.

The smb.conf file was extracted from a working smb.conf file on a HP-UX
machine with the appropriate components modified.

TEST 1 from the Diagnosing Your Samba Server gives the message:
	ERROR LOCK DIRECTORY /USR/LOCAL/SAMBA/VAR/LOCKS DOES NOT EXIST

TEST 3 from the Diagnosing Your Samba Server gives the message
	ADDED INTERFACE 130.219.23.100 BCAST=130.219.23.233
NMASK=255.255.255.255
	SESSION REQUEST TO 130.219.23.100 FAILED
	SESSION REQUEST TO SMBSERVER FAILED

We want to communicate directly (phone or e-mail) with someone who can help.
There is no one here who understands how to proceed.

Thank you!
