smbd processes won't go away

Dear "Fluker, Tom R" <Tom.Fluker at>,

smbd is a deamon for the samba server.
To get this to go away you need to stop the samba server.

To do this with RedHat you only need to run....
/etc/rc.d/init.d/smb stop

To start the samba server back up run....
/etc/rc.d/init.d/smb start

To stop then start the server....
/etc/rc.d/init.d/smb restart

Hope this helps,
James Kosin

it is supposed to be doing. Debugging is reconciling the differences."
