A problem with the Network Appliance server using smbmount.

Here at A&M we have a NetApp as our big home drive server. It's using the
waffle file system that NetApp created. Well when you try and use smbmount
to mount a drive on it. You get garbage. If you do a ls you get
ls: : No such file or directory.
For the entire drive, So if there is 20 files I get the error 20 times. But
if I map a drive on my NT machine I see everything just fine. Has anyone
else had experience with a NetApp and trying to use smbmount.
