Not updating mounts of NT

Using smbfs I assume, which kernel version?

Which RESCAN button would that be? Please, always include version numbers
and program names of what you are using when reporting problems.

Try upgrading your kernel to 2.2.16 it has some changes to how things are
cached in smbfs and when that cache is updated. I'd like to know if that
works or not (and which version you are using now).
