client machine having problem

sir
     i have set up a samba server  on my network.
     when a user tries to login from the client
machine 
     the machine gives this  error message
 

     UNABLE TO FIND USER.PDS FILE
     what could be the problem

     i have used roaming profile
      [GLOBAL]

     logon path = \\servername\profile\%U
       [profile]

      path =  /export/samba/profile
PLEASE TELL ME WHAT COULD BE THE PROBLEM. IF POSSIBLE
