2 things:
1) check thet the guest account is set to an uid > 0
2) if you use a precompiled 2.0.x samba (probably compiled on a 2.2.x
kernel) on a 2.0.x kernel then you have the above problem; you need to
recompile samba 2.0.x on your system (samba 2.0.x compiled on kernel
2.2.x uses some calls that are not implemented in kernel 2.0.x)
