Samba 2.0.5b error running on HP 11

I have installed samba 2.0.5b on my HPUX 11 system and I am getting this error.  I have configured the smb.conf file and set the correct service ports with inetd, but I am stumped on this error.  Has anyone run into this problem?  Your help would be greatly appreciated....

ERROR as follows;

ERROR: root did not create the semaphore
ERROR: Failed to initialise share modes
Can't initialise shared memory - exiting
