Hi all,

I have a machine with Samba on it (duh) that I have made a member of an NT
domain. I finally got things working how I wanted them to after a couple of
days of screwing with permissions, everything was humming along nicely when
all of the sudden nobody, and I mean nobody, could even see the machine
anymore. Trying to map it in NT Explorer eventually returns this error "The
timeout period for the semaphore has expired". Checking my logs, I get
these three errors in sequence a bunch of times :

  [2000/01/21 06:46:07, 0] lib/util_sock.c:write_socket_data(537)
    write_socket_data: write_failure. Error = Broken pipe
  [2000/01/21 06:46:07, 0] lib/util_sock.c:write_socket(563)
write_socket: Error writing 4 bytes to socket 6: ERRNO = Broken pipe
  [2000/01/21 06:47:07, 0] lib/util_sock.c:send_smb(751)
Error writing 4 bytes to client. -1. Exiting

Does anyone know what this means? TIA from a Samba newbie.
