[admin] list problems

this message may take a couple of days to get through.  the list server on
samba is reacting ... unbelievably slowly.

so, please refrain from sending messages such as this one to it saying,
"the list isn't working", because we will receive them ALL once the lists
are sorted out -- all in one hit.

hopefully we will find someone with root access to sort it out, soon.
