ldap_initialize_passwd_db problem (v 2.0.6 on Solaris 7, Netscape SDK40)

I've scouwered the archives, and while there is more then one e-mail about people trying to compile with the --with-ldap flag and hitting the "ldap_initialize_passwd_db" problem, there is not a resolution to the problem (although I suspect it's something along the lines of "you're missing an -I flag).)

Any help/ideas would be appreciated.
