Connection Problem

I am having a problem connecting from a Windows 98 machine to my Samba UNIX 
server. I think it has to do with the way Win 98 connects to the network. 
Foe example in windows networking, if I am at a computer that logs on to a 
Windows network that uses the name bill, and I try to connect to the below 
share as Mike it fails. How can I connect to the share below anywhere I 
happen to be?????
