	I'm wondering what security information NT is 
	interested in.  Let's start by turning the logging
	up to 10 or so, and email me a log snippet from
	the time period when the backup is running.

	I'm hoping we'll find it's asking for something
	that Samba doesn't recognize, so we can report
	that to the team in time for 2.2. Look especially
	for any log messages about unrecognized or
	unimplemented requests...

	If that doesn't expose it, we'll capture the
	packets with snoop or etherial and approach
	it that way.
