Session request failed (Called name not present) error

Nothing read about this yet. Did you restart smbd/nmbd after changing 
smb.conf?

Now lets go and ask this machine who it thinks it is:

   nmblookup -U 172.16.5.6 -S '*'

This should tell us which name it thinks it has: you are looking for a 
line with <00> and without <GROUP>.
