Exchange Server Replacement

Hi All

I was wondering if anyone had found a replacement for M$ Exchange Server in regard sharing of Outlook's calendar/scheduler.  I have a need for such a daemon but wish to avoid the commercial software, eg HP OpenMail.  BTW has anyone had good experience with Open Mail?

Any ideas would be greatfully appreciated.
